Ceramic Coating
Ceramic Coating by MAD Lab — Gloss That Lasts, Protection That Works.
Ceramic Coating
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied to the exterior surfaces of a vehicle (like paint, glass, wheels, and trim) that chemically bonds with the factory paint to create a protective layer. It’s often used in automotive detailing to protect the paint and enhance its appearance.
Our Process
Step 1
Wash
We thoroughly wash your car with a pH-neutral shampoo to remove dirt and grime using the two-bucket method to avoid swirl marks.
Step 2
Decontaminate
Then we will use a clay bar to remove embedded contaminants (like tar, iron particles, and brake dust). Optional: Apply iron remover for deeper cleaning
Step 3
Polish
If your paint has swirl marks or scratches, use a polishing compound. This step ensures a perfectly smooth surface, coatings amplify what’s underneath!
Step 4
Degrease
After we will wipe the paint with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or a dedicated panel wipe to remove oils. This helps the coating bond directly to the paint.
Step 5
Apply the Coating
Our team work in small sections (e.g., one panel at a time). We will apply a few drops on an applicator pad and spread evenly in crosshatch patterns. Wait 30–90 seconds (depending on product) for it to “flash” (look rainbowy).
Step 6
Buff
Before the final step, wipe off residue with a high-quality microfiber towel before it hardens.
Step 7
Cure
Finally we let the coating cure for 12–24 hours indoors (no rain or washing). Avoid washing for at least 7 days to allow full bonding.
